Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Thursday urged companies registered in Maldives and foreign companies operating in Maldives to submit due diligence applications with accurate information.
The EPA issued the advice in a notice published in the government gazette after it was observed that some applications for scrutiny of companies were incomplete and misspelled the names of islands and lagoons.
The agency has urged companies to submit accurate information.
“Therefore, when applying for due diligence clearance to this agency, please use the F code assigned to the island by the Maldives Land and Survey Authority and if applying for due diligence clearance of a lagoon without F code, please mention the correct location,” the EPA said.
