Water services are still not available in connected islands in Addu.
Water service was cut off in connected islands of Addu on Thursday. The water plant is being repaired to restore water supply.
Fenaka said in a post in 'X' on Saturday that there were issues with the VFD brought from Male to resolve the problem encountered at the RO plant used to provide water services to the islands of Addu. Therefore, the company apologised for not resuming the service at the expected time.
The company said it is looking for another VFD and sending it to Addu as soon as possible.

The water cut has caused public complaints. Households who rely solely on supply water face the greatest distress.
