The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case in the High Court to stop the hasty promotion of senior police officers.

The ACC filed a case in the Civil Court seeking an interim order to stop the promotions. However, the Civil Court ruled that an interim order could not be issued.
ACC Senior Communications Officer Nishan Mohammed Didi confirmed to Atoll Times on Sunday that the ACC has filed an appeal against the Civil Court's decision.
He said the ACC had appealed the decision of the Civil Court in the High Court on last Sunday. However, the High Court has not yet decided whether to accept the case.
