Pres Muizzu aiming for parliament supermajority
President Muizzu called on the people to submit any such complaints and assured that the complaint will be looked into.

The ruling PPM-PNC will aim to secure at least 62 seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections and take a supermajority in parliament, incumbent President Mohammed Muizzu said Saturday.
He was speaking to reporters at Henveiru Stadium on Saturday after attending to observe the polling process in the PPM-PNC parliamentary primary.
"Hopefully we will win a supermajority in the parliamentary elections," Muizzu said confidently when asked the margin of victory he would predict by his current calculations.
"We will win at least 62 seats, hopefully, with the support of the people”.

Therefore, I believe that we will maintain the confidence of the people and get their support in the parliamentary elections
"We have sincerity in our hearts. We must work with good intentions, honesty and integrity in serving the people. We believe that the people will accept that. That’s why I say, hopefully we will take at least 62 seats," the president reiterated.
"The hope is that after Saturday's primary, all the elected candidates and all the unelected candidates will work together in unity and our coalition candidates will contest the coming [parliamentary] elections and get a good result”.
Party members have been accusing the PNC leadership of altering the voters list amidst the disputes and unrest happening during the primary elections. The president, however, assured that no such thing would happen.
"Changing the voters list for any voter register is not something we believe in at all. Nothing of that sort will happen among us," he said.
President Muizzu called on the people to submit any such complaints which assured will be looked into.
Voting for the ruling coalition's parliamentary primary started at 10 am on Saturday. Voting will continue until 5 p.m. In this primary:
