Criminal Court on Sunday acquitted all of the seven men accused of the brutal stabbing murder of Mohamed Anas.
Mohamed Anas, Fenfiyazge/R. Meedhoo was brutally murdered on July 31, 2017. Police had said Anas was brutally stabbed 37 times inside an auto service garage in the capital Male.
Seven people were charged in the case, three with premeditated murder while the rest as accessories.

Case summary
After investigating the case, police had said at the time that the attack and subsequent murder was a case of "mistaken" identity and Anas was not the original target.
