Four more people have been arrested in connection with the street attack on Prosecutor General (PG) Hussain Shameem, police said on Sunday.
Police previously revealed that two people were first arrested in the case. Late last month, another person was arrested and police had then said three people had been arrested in the case.
When Atoll Times contacted the police for the latest update on the case, they confirmed on Sunday that seven people have been arrested so far in connection with the attack on Shameem.

The seven men are all locals.

They were produced in court for remand and are now remanded in custody pending trial
Police said they were all arrested on different days.
