Maldives appoints new ambassadors to Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan

The President's Office said the three were appointed at the level of State Ministers.

President Mohammed Muizzu appointed ambassadors to three countries on Wednesday.

They were appointed at a ceremony held at the President's Office.

The ambassadors appointed are:

  • Shiuneen Rasheed as Ambassador to Bangladesh

  • Lt. Gen. (retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Maldives to Turkey

  • Mohammad Thoha as Ambassador to Pakistan

The President's Office said the three were appointed at the level of State Ministers.
