Minister seeks US support for Maldivian content creators

The Economic Ministry said in an X post that the meeting also discussed the duty cut on fish exported from Maldives.

Economic Minister Mohammed Saeed has held discussions with United States top businessmen on how to make the best use of international platforms for content creators in Maldives.

Saeed, who is currently in the United States on an official visit, discussed cooperation with the US government and private businesses at the Maldives-US Trade and Investment Framework Agreement meeting held with trade representatives of the country on Wednesday.

The Economic Ministry said in an X post that the meeting also discussed the duty cut on fish exported from Maldives.

During the meeting, the two discussed ways to facilitate Maldives' digital content creators to make the most of international platforms.

Minister Saeed also attended a round table meeting with representatives of the US Chamber of Commerce.

Minister Saeed met with the Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs at the US State Department.
