Maldives' first neurosurgeon Niyaf leaves ADK for IGMH

Niyaf has undergone more than 2,000 neurosurgeries and procedures so far.

Dr Ali Niyaf, Maldives' first neurosurgeon working at ADK, has left the private hospital after nine years and joined the main government run IGMH. 

In a post on 'X' today, ADK Hospital thanked Niyaf for his services to the hospital and wished him a bright future.

The hospital said that Niyaf is starting a new chapter in his career and thanked him for his valuable services to ADK Hospital over the past nine years and 10 months.

Niyaf left ADK to work at IGMH.

ADK paediatrician Dr Abdulla Niyaf is Ali Niyaf's elder brother.

Abdulla Niyaf said he hoped that the neurosurgery department of IGMH would bring prosperity and progress with Niyaf.

It is not known when Niyaf will begin his services at IGMH.

Niyaf is the first neurosurgeon in the country. He has conducted research and published research results in various fields of neurosurgery. He has received education and training in the United States, Russia, India, Brazil and Nepal.

Niyaf, who has undergone more than 2,000 neurosurgeries and procedures so far, will also be seen at the Neuroendocrine Medical Facility in Male.
