Two persons have been arrested in connection with a case in which a man was robbed of his cash card after he was dragged into a house in the capital city Male, police said on Saturday.
The case was reported to police on Wednesday. His card was taken from him by dragging him inside a house, threatening and stripping him naked.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident, police said in a statement. They are 26 and 35 years old.
The two were produced before the court for a decision on their remand. One was remanded in custody for 30 days and the other for 60 days.
It is not clear how much money was robbed.
