Male mayor Adam Azim has said that the council is considering drawing red lines to prevent parking on street corners.
Speaking to the media after a consultation meeting held by the institutions to solve the traffic problem in the city, Azim said that although it is prohibited, vehicles are parked on the street corners.
He said that if vehicles are parked in such places, the police will immediately tow it.
"We're trying to make things easier for everyone. The goal is to make it easier for everyone," he said.
Azim said everyone is bothered because of the few people who park irregularly.
"We are trying to make it easier for the public. It is not easy for the police to tow away vehicles. It is not easy for them to draw lines all over the city either," Azim said.
"The roads in the city are so crowded that we should park responsibly so as to not disturb each other. Otherwise, this will never be solved”.
