FIFA decided to temporarily run the FAM under the supervision of a normalisation committee. The main responsibility of the committee is to hold new elections.
The five-member normalisation committee includes former government official Mohamed Zuhoor, lawyer Ahmed Muizzu, Fareeha Shareef, Ismail Saiman and Ahmed Ali.
FIFA had earlier said it was the responsibility of the normalisation committee to amend the FAM's charter and hold new elections before July 31, 2025.
The committee should also recover the money lost in the alleged fraud committed by the previous management of the FAM.
