Total Palestinian death toll since October 7 reaches 42,519, with 99,637 injured

Internet services completely disrupted in northern Gaza, affecting emergency communications

GAZA - Israeli forces have carried out three massacres in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, resulting in at least 19 Palestinian deaths and 91 injuries, according to local health authorities.

The latest attacks, which targeted areas including the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, have pushed the total death toll since October 7 to 42,519, with an additional 99,637 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are reported to be women and children.

Medical sources confirmed that three citizens lost their lives and seven others were injured, including a child, in airstrikes on the Nuseirat camp. The bombardment targeted areas in the centre and west of the camp.

Emergency services continue to face significant challenges in reaching casualties and recovering bodies trapped under rubble or scattered across roads in the war-torn enclave. Israeli forces are reportedly obstructing the movement of ambulance and civil defence crews, compounding the difficulty of rescue efforts.

Adding to the humanitarian crisis, the Palestinian Telecommunications Company (Paltel Group) announced a complete disruption of internet services in the northern Gaza Strip. This outage affects most areas of northern Gaza, impacting citizens' ability to communicate with civil defence and medical services.

The company stated that its crews are working to restore services as quickly as possible. However, the interruption severely hampers the ability of journalists to cover field developments and affects the coordination of emergency responses.

Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, communications and internet services in Gaza have been interrupted multiple times. This is due to both intensive bombing affecting network infrastructure and fuel depletion.

As the conflict continues, thousands are feared dead under the rubble of destroyed structures across Gaza. The ongoing aggression and communication disruptions continue to exacerbate the already dire humanitarian situation in the besieged enclave.
