The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been awarded the second phase of the Eydhafushi road development project, valued at MVR 75.7 million.
An agreement for the project was officially signed by State Minister for Housing Hassan Rasheed and RDC Managing Director Ali Zuhair.
Under this agreement, RDC will undertake the paving of 5.3 kilometers of road, construct fences, install a drainage system, and place road signs and boards.
This follows the completion of Phase 1 of the Eydhafushi road project, which was carried out by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). That phase included the construction of 17,785 acres of road, installation of an irrigation system, and the setup of 172 LED street lights.
