The SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC) has appointed Mohamed Shareef as chairman and Badhurudheen Hassan as managing director.
The appointments follow the Cabinet’s decision in July to transfer SDFC ownership to the Bank of Maldives (BML).
Mohamed Shareef, who currently serves as chief executive officer and managing director of BML, will also chair the SDFC board. Badhurudheen Hassan, previously director of retail and SME banking at BML, has been appointed as managing director and executive director of the SDFC board.
