STO said the number of agents to be appointed in each island will be determined based on the population of the island.

-

-
Gaafu Dhaalu Gadhdhoo
STO said the number of agents to be appointed in each island will be determined based on the population of the island.
The deadline for submission of application forms by businesses interested in becoming agents is 22 January at 3:00 pm.
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
-
A copy of the business registration
-
A copy of the GST registration
-
A copy of the national identity card
-
Contact number and email address of the proposed agent
STO said that businesses applying to become agents must quote the lowest possible price for transporting 23 essential goods from Malé to the respective island.
If STO determines that the quoted price is higher than the prevailing market rate, the company may proceed at a mutually agreed price following consultation with the bidder.
STO said agents will sell the products in rural areas at prices fixed by the company.
STO will pay agents a selling fee and a pipeline agent fee for transporting the goods to the islands. These fees will be settled by deducting the agent fee per case or basket from the total bill amount when agents purchase the goods from the STO warehouse.
