Mohamed Abdul Kareem resigned from his post as Deputy Managing Director of Maldive Gas on Monday.
Maldive Gas is a subsidiary of the State Trading Organisation.

Sources said he resigned to take up a post at another government agency.
The resignation comes as the company is making changes to its operations.
During the current administration, Mohamed Abdul Kareem was first appointed Deputy Managing Director of WAMCO. He was later appointed Deputy Managing Director of Fenaka.
He assumed duties as Deputy Managing Director of Maldive Gas in July last year.
