PCB reshuffles boards of several state companies

The latest appointments and removals follow a number of management and board-level changes made across state-owned enterprises in recent months.

The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced a series of appointments and removals across the boards of several state-owned enterprises.

In a statement, the PCB said new directors had been appointed to fill vacancies on a number of company boards, while other members had been removed from their positions.

The newly appointed board members are:

  • Saadha Ibrahim (RS 14819), appointed as Chairperson and Board Director of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company.

  • Ahmed Nasif of Riverside, S. Hulhudhoo, appointed as a Board Director of the Maldives Airports Company Limited.

  • Sheryna Solih of Welcomevilla, S. Hithadhoo, appointed as a Board Director of the Addu International Airport.

The PCB also announced the removal of the following board members:

  • Aishath Ali of M. Vaareyvilla, Malé, from the board of Visit Maldives Corporation.

  • Aminath Raisham from the board of Maldives Ports Limited.

The board changes take effect immediately.

The PCB is responsible for overseeing the governance and performance of state-owned enterprises and has the authority to appoint and remove board members of government-owned companies.

The latest appointments and removals follow a number of management and board-level changes made across state-owned enterprises in recent months.
