The Maldives Bureau of Statistics (MBS) has launched an online platform designed to improve public access to official data on inflation, economic growth and population trends.
The Interactive Data Explorer was launched on Monday to mark the fifth anniversary of the Maldives Statistics Act, which established the MBS as the country's technically independent national statistical agency.
The platform provides access to data on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and population projections.
According to the MBS, users can explore official statistics through an interactive interface, making it easier to search for and understand national data.
"The primary objective of this platform is to raise public awareness regarding the economic and demographic shifts occurring across the Maldives," the bureau said.
The MBS said the platform is intended to improve public access to official statistics and support greater understanding of economic and demographic trends in the Maldives.
