Pres says MTCC capacity boosted to 120 projects a time
President Solih said his rivals were worried after seeing such scenes and there was nothing for his rivals to pledge to do for the islands.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said on Wednesday that MTCC's capacity has been increased to carry out 120 projects at a time.
The president made the remarks at his re-election campaign rally in AA. Bodufulhadhoo.
"When we came to power, MTCC could carry out just 20 projects at a time. Today, we have provided MTCC with the resources to execute 120 projects," he said.
"That happens where you start doing things with a plan, with a sense of purpose and planning."
President Solih said his rivals were worried after seeing such scenes and there was nothing for his rivals to pledge to do for the islands.
Noting that MDP's alliance with Adhaalath Party and Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) is a grand coalition with around 80,000 members, he said rivals cannot even come close to that number.
"We're already ahead so many steps ahead. The rest of the parties can't even come close in a campaign," he said.
"I would like to tell people from other parties to think about it. Don't throw away your vote down the drain. It's a very clear scene. Come out, everyone, everyone, vote for us."
