
Pres announces resort development in Fulhadhoo lagoon
He said people from all over the world will come to see the beaches in the region.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said on Monday that bids will be opened for the development of a resort in the lagoon where B. Goidhoo, Fulhadhoo and Fehendhoo are located in.
Speaking to supporters during his visit to B. Fulhadhoo for the upcoming presidential election campaign, President Solih said that there could not be a more "prime" region for tourism development than the lagoon.
He said people from all over the world will come to see the beaches in the region.
"There can't be a better area in the region for tourism," he said.
"One of the world's most famous beaches is in the region. Only so many people will come to see the beach."
