Ferry service in Male region added to RTL network
Tickets for MTCC ferries to Villimale, Hulhumale, Thilafushi and Gulhifalhu are now available through the RTL application.
MTCC has included the ferry service provided in Male region under the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) national ferry network.
Tickets for MTCC ferries to Villimale, Hulhumale, Thilafushi and Gulhifalhu are now available through the RTL application.
With the change, passengers can buy tickets from the RTL app and pay for them through QR code paper tickets and contactless debit/credit cards at ferry terminals. They include:

Tickets must be scanned by the validating machine on the ferry

Up to 10 tickets can be purchased at a time through the app

People over 65, children under 3, people with special needs, school children in uniform and college/university students can travel free on presentation of their cards

Travel cards can be used until 30 December

Card top up will stop from December

The opportunity to request a refund for the balance amount on the card will be before 31 January

Season passes can be used until they expire, after which passes will not be renewed
Tickets for high speed ferry services in atolls are also available online under the RTL system. Tickets for bus services provided in Addu, Fuvahmulah and Male region are also available on the app.
