Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) on Sunday approved a dividend of 60 Laari per share.
The decision was taken at the company's annual general meeting held at the Manhattan Business Hotel.
MTDC has approved a dividend of 60 Laari per share from its 2023 earnings. The company has also approved a dividend of 60 Laari per share from its 2022 earnings.
MTCC's 2023 financial highlights:

Revenue was $6.7 million (MVR 102 million)

Profit of $2.1 million (MVR 32 million)
MTDC's profit for 2023 declined by 41% compared to the previous year. The decline in profit was due to additional expenses incurred with the change of contract, the company's annual report said. However, the company's financial position will improve with the planned investments.
