Zameer meets Saudi governor to discuss Maldives' economy

Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer called on Saudi Arabia's Central Bank Governor Ayman Al-Sayari on Tuesday to discuss the economic situation in the Maldives.
Zameer arrived in Saudi Arabia on Saturday to deliver a special letter sent by President Mohamed Muizzu to Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman at the invitation of Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

Zameer met with the Saudi Governor to discuss the economic situation in Maldives and the development of the tourism industry

In addition, the two discussed investment opportunities in Maldives
“Pleased with the meeting with the Saudi Governor, Zameer also discussed the possibilities of expanding bilateral trade to eliminate the challenges of the current account deficit,” Zameer said on X.
Zameer will soon be accompanied by MMA Governor Ahmed Munawwar. Airports Company Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed is already in Riyadh.
The delegation met with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal on Monday. At the meeting, President Muizzu’s letter to the Crown Prince was handed over.
