Aasandha after private insurance from Friday
Aasandha Company emphasised its commitment to making Aasandha a more sustainable and high-quality service for the people.
Starting Friday, patients who have private insurance will see a change in the way their healthcare costs are handled under the Aasandha programme, with Aasandha Company announcing that the scheme will prioritise private insurance billing before utilising Aasandha benefits for those eligible.
In a statement, Aasandha Company emphasised its commitment to making Aasandha a more sustainable and high-quality service for the people. The company has been working on enhancing the system, and this change is part of its plan to achieve these goals.
Aasandha explained that, starting Friday, patients receiving outpatient services from both government and private healthcare providers will be billed through their private insurance plans before Aasandha coverage is applied. This means that if a patient has private insurance, any eligible costs will first be deducted from that insurance, reducing the expenditure on the Aasandha programme.
However, if a patient either does not have private insurance or has exhausted their private insurance package, they will still be able to access Aasandha benefits as usual. This change aims to balance the programme’s sustainability while ensuring uninterrupted access to healthcare for everyone.
Aasandha Company has assured the public that these changes will be introduced gradually to maintain convenience and transparency for all. The company is taking phased steps to ensure that the shift to private insurance priority is implemented smoothly without disruption.
To ensure transparency, Aasandha encourages all patients to request a receipt after receiving services. This measure will help patients track their expenses and have clear documentation of their healthcare costs.
