Parliament on Monday voted to retain Mohamed Naseeh as the president of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), rejecting efforts to remove him from the position.
The move to dismiss Naseeh had been initiated on charges of misconduct. However, following an inquiry, the relevant committee concluded that the allegations against him were unproven and recommended against his removal.
During the parliamentary vote:

64 members voted to uphold the committee's decision not to remove Naseeh.

12 members voted in favor of his removal.
