3 gang fights in Male amid violence series

Reports of gang violence, including arson targeting vehicles believed to belong to gang members, have been ongoing for over two months.

The series of gang-related conflicts that began in October in Male has continued, with three incidents reported on Saturday evening.

According to the police, the confrontations occurred at different locations, involving groups armed with sharp weapons.

The three reported fights are as follows:

    De Public Café: A group of helmeted individuals on motorcycles entered the café and initiated a confrontation.

  • 2-

    Kinza Café: Six individuals on motorcycles armed with sharp weapons were involved in a fight outside the establishment.

  • 3-

    Near Noor Mosque: A violent altercation occurred in the vicinity of the mosque.

The police confirmed that investigations are underway for all three cases.

No arrests have been reported in connection with Saturday's incidents, but authorities have previously detained several individuals linked to earlier gang fights in the city.
