Police on Tuesday called on the public to share any information related to the fire that damaged three government ministries on Thursday.
The fire affected the Green Building of the environment ministry, construction ministry, and the housing ministry. The cause of the incident remains unknown, and police have launched an investigation.
In a post on X, the police requested anyone with relevant information to contact the Major Crime Investigation Unit.
Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau previously announced plans to collaborate with an external forensic team to assist in the investigation.
Following the fire, the operations of the three ministries have been relocated to Dharubaaruge. Services have resumed there after necessary arrangements were completed last Sunday.
President Mohamed Muizzu said on Monday that the government does not intend to rent temporary office spaces for the affected ministries and will continue operations at Dharubaaruge until a permanent building is secured.
