Raud Ahmed Zilal, who was arrested in connection with the fall of Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed from a ninth-floor apartment to the roof of a nearby warehouse on 18 April, has been remanded in custody for an additional 10 days.

Raud was initially arrested last Friday and produced before the Criminal Court on Wednesday, where the extension of his five-day remand was reviewed and granted.

Police have confirmed that Raud tested positive for cannabis. He was with 21-year-old Yumnu Rasheed at the H. Fentenoy residence at the time of the incident. The two were together inside the building prior to her fall.

According to police, Raud was first identified as the only individual present during the incident. He was later taken into custody on allegations of non-cooperation with the investigation.

The arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court states that there had been a dispute between Raud and Yumnu before the fall. The court also noted that Raud had informed a third party that Yumnu's whereabouts were unknown and that she had possibly fallen.

Police have also stated that Yumnu attended a gathering on the night of 17 April, prior to the incident. As part of the investigation, the passports of seven individuals who were with Yumnu that night have been seized.
