Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed, who was found fallen on the roof of H. Mitazge on the 18th of last month, is now in stable condition but remains in shock, her family said on Sunday.

Yumnu was initially treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for 10 days before being transferred to Malaysia for further treatment.

Her brother-in-law, Mohamed Mumin, posted on social media platform X on Sunday night that Yumnu is awake but still in the ICU. He added that her feeding tube had been removed, and she is now able to consume blended food.

Yumnu is scheduled to undergo surgery next Thursday to treat injuries to her hips and neck.

At the time of the incident, 21-year-old Raud Ahmed Zilal was with Yumnu at H. Fentenoige. Police initially stated no one else was involved in her fall. However, Raud was later arrested for failing to cooperate with the investigation.

The Criminal Court’s arrest order revealed that a dispute had taken place between Raud and Yumnu before the fall. Raud also tested positive for cannabis, and had reportedly told someone that Yumnu’s whereabouts were unknown and that she may have fallen.

Prior to the incident, Yumnu attended a party in an apartment at Maandhooge Dhekunuge. The police were criticised for not naming the location, which was identified as the family home of former Transport Minister Mohamed Ameen. Authorities also did not take action against party attendees who refused drug tests.
