Parliament has received the names of six candidates nominated for appointment to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (Broadcom).
The list was sent by the President following upcoming and recent vacancies on the Commission.
The President’s letter, which was read out in Parliament Monday, follows the scheduled expiration of the five-year term of Aminath Ameena on 14th of next month. The vacancy was publicly announced by the President’s Office last month.
The position also comes in the wake of the resignation of Broadcom Vice President Ahmed Fazeen.
