The Maldives Meteorological Service has forecast intensified rainfall and stronger winds over the next three days as the southwest monsoon progresses.
According to the MET Office, showers and thundershowers are expected in parts of the country from Sunday through Tuesday.

The southwest monsoon has officially begun, and rainfall has already been recorded in various parts of the country. The MET Office noted that while there has been intermittent rain, overall weather conditions have remained stable so far.
