Admissions open for Grade 1, LKG in govt schools

The Ministry of Education has opened applications for admission to Grade 1 and Lower Kindergarten (LKG) in government schools for the upcoming academic year.

According to the Ministry, the admission period will run from 15 July to 31 August. Parents or guardians are required to complete and submit the designated application form to enrol their children.

The Ministry also stated that the new academic year will begin on 27 January next year.

Last year, 2,024 students applied for Grade 1 admissions across government schools in the Maldives.
