STELCO completes maintenance of Hulhumalé power plant ahead of schedule

The State Electric Company (STELCO) has announced that maintenance work on its 50 MW power plant in Hulhumalé was completed Saturday morning ahead of schedule.
STELCO Managing Director Hussain Fahmy confirmed on X that the work was finished at 8:43 am, although it had been expected to conclude between 6:00 am and 10:00 am.
Fahmy credited the completion to the efforts of STELCO’s engineers and technicians. He also expressed gratitude to customers in the Greater Malé area for their cooperation during the period of work.
According to Fahmy, STELCO continues to carry out such repair and maintenance work as part of its efforts to provide electricity services on a sustainable basis.
