Body in Hulhumalé likely to be missing Nepalese worker
Police added that the body was decomposed, and efforts are under way to confirm the victim’s identity.
Police have said the body discovered on Monday in the area allocated for the Hulhumalé Water Theme Park is likely to be that of a man reported missing last week.
The deceased was found Monday afternoon. In a statement on Tuesday, police confirmed that a body had been recovered, but the identity has not yet been officially established.
Investigators said evidence collected so far suggests the body may be that of a 29-year-old Nepalese man who was reported missing on Thursday. According to his employer, he was last seen the previous day.
Police added that the body was decomposed, and efforts are under way to confirm the victim’s identity.
