Police identify Thilafushi deceased as Bangladeshi man

Police have identified the man found dead on the industrial island of Thilafushi as a Bangladeshi national who had been reported missing earlier this week.
Police said on Thursday that the deceased was Amin Mia, 24, from Bangladesh. He was found dead during a search operation on Wednesday.
According to police, initial findings indicate that Amin Mia died on Monday. He had been working at a site in Thilafushi and was reported missing the same day. The case was reported to police on Wednesday.
Police said investigations into the incident are ongoing and that further information will be released as inquiries continue.
