Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM) and Ensis Fisheries have jointly started selling fuel to fishermen from Hulhumale jetty at discounted prices.
FSM Managing Director Mohamed Gasam told Atoll Times on Tuesday that the fishermen had been complaining about not being able to buy oil from the Male region at the discounted price sold by MIFCO to the fishermen.
"To address these complaints, we negotiated with Ensis and started selling fuel oil from tomorrow in a manner agreed upon by both sides," he said.
Gasam said that the land located on the southern side of Hulhumale ferry terminal has two 80,000-litre tanks developed by Ensis and there is a provision to sell fuel from there.
