Shaheeb in custody after surrendering to police
According to police, the Criminal Court has ordered that he remain in custody and be produced before the court by 6 p.m. on 23 September.

Shaheeb Ibrahim, 47, of Lighthouse, GA. Villingili, has surrendered to police after being sought in connection with ongoing cases.
Police confirmed that Shaheeb appeared at police headquarters on Thursday evening, after which he was taken into custody.
According to police, the Criminal Court has ordered that he remain in custody and be produced before the court by 6 p.m. on 23 September.
Shaheeb previously served as a coordinator at the Ministry of Housing during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen. He also contested in the most recent parliamentary elections.
Police have previously accused him of involvement in narcotics seized from an Iranian vessel.
