The government will raise the salaries of employees in the judiciary, local councils and the civil service from November, President Mohamed Muizzu announced on Sunday.
In a post on X, the President said the pay of staff in these sectors who have not yet received salary adjustments will be harmonised next month.
He also stated that salary increases for employees of other institutions whose pay has not been revised this year will be implemented next year.
This measure was outlined in the Presidential Statement delivered earlier this year. However, the government has not yet disclosed the rate of the salary increases.
