Police on Tuesday reported that a 32-year-old Maldivian woman stabbed her 64-year-old Maldivian partner during an incident inside a house in Male’.
According to police, the pair, described as being in a relationship, became involved in a violent altercation that resulted in injuries to both individuals. The 64-year-old man sustained a stab wound to his back.
In a statement, police said the initial investigation indicates that the incident followed an argument between the two. The case remains under investigation.
A police spokesperson confirmed to Atoll Times that both individuals involved are Maldivian. No further details have been released.
