The Maldives Police Service has concluded its investigation into four individuals arrested during ‘Operation Alimagu’ and has forwarded the cases to the Prosecutor General’s Office Maldives for prosecution.
‘Operation Alimagu’ was launched in November to target drug trafficking networks across the Maldives. As part of the operation, police conducted raids on 11 January in Malé and islands in Gaafu Alifu Atoll.
Police searched 10 locations during the operation and arrested four individuals:

Shaffahu Latheef (28), Shevona, GA. Villingili

Ahmed Madheeh (33), Muzikeeage, GA. Villingili

Ahmed Anaam Ibrahim (30), Aizan, GA. Villingili

Noorunnizam (35), Araairuge, GA. Villingili
Police said the investigation into the suspects has been completed and the case has been submitted for charges.
All four individuals remain in custody under a court order pending trial.
At the time of his arrest, Ahmed Anaam Ibrahim was serving as Senior Political Director at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
