The government has extended the application deadline for its “Housing for All” scheme until May 30.
The Ministry of Housing Maldives initially opened applications on January 18, with a deadline of April 30. In a statement issued on Monday, the ministry confirmed that the deadline has been extended to 11:59 PM on May 30.
The ministry did not specify a reason for the extension. However, it has made changes to eligibility criteria since the scheme was launched.
Recent changes relate to the category for persons with disabilities under the family housing programme. The ministry stated that revisions are being made to allow individuals with disabilities or their legal guardians to submit applications.
