‘Eid Haveeru 1447’ celebrations begin across Malé area

‘Eid Haveeru 1447’, a series of Eid al-Adha celebrations organised under the leadership of the Maldives National Defence Force, began on Wednesday afternoon across the Greater Malé region.
In addition to personnel from the MNDF and the Maldives Police Service, 11 state-owned enterprises are participating in the programme.
The activities are scheduled to continue for three days.
Activities in Malé
In Malé, events are being held at Sultan Park, the Shaheedhunge Bina area, Jumhooree Maidhaan and the Official Jetty area.
Public activities include:

Exhibitions of military uniforms, operational weapons and land and sea vehicles

Photo opportunities for visitors
The MNDF stated that the Arts and Ceremonial Service of the Adjutant General’s Corps will also hold special performances in Malé on Thursday.
Activities in Hulhumalé
In Hulhumalé, activities are taking place at Central Park and Hiyaa Park in Phase 2.
At Central Park, the programme includes rappelling, water slides and foam bath pools. Canteen services are also available for visitors.
The Adjutant General’s Corps Arts and Ceremonial Service is scheduled to perform in Hulhumalé on Friday.
At Hiyaa Park, activities include rappelling, firefighting equipment displays and turntable ladder climbing.
Activities in Villimalé
At the Villimalé Football Stadium, organisers have arranged obstacle courses and games for children.
According to the MNDF, activities in Villimalé will continue until next Saturday.
All Eid Haveeru activities are scheduled daily between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
