Man dies while diving for baitfish near Gadhdhoo

A man has died while diving to catch baitfish near GDh. Gadhdhoo, police have confirmed.
According to the Maldives Police Service, a report was received at approximately 5:40 a.m. on Sunday regarding a missing crew member from a fishing vessel operating in the area.
Police said a search operation was launched after the report was received. The missing man was later located underwater and brought to GDh. Gadhdhoo.
Authorities said the Gadhdhoo Health Centre informed police that the individual had already died by the time he was brought to the facility.
