First-term school examinations begin across Maldives
The examinations will continue until 9 July and are being conducted for students in Grades 7 to 10.

First-term examinations for secondary school students began across the Maldives on Tuesday.
According to the academic calendar issued by the Ministry of Education, the examinations will continue until 9 July and are being conducted for students in Grades 7 to 10.
The examination period for the first term will conclude on 16 July.
Following the examinations, students will begin their first-term holidays.
According to the academic calendar:

Students will receive a 16-day break, including weekends.

The second academic term will begin on 2 August.
The academic calendar also shows that students will attend school for a total of 199 days during the 2026 academic year.
The next national examinations scheduled for secondary and higher secondary students are the O-Level and A-Level examinations, which are due to be held in October and November.
