Postmortem report: Nishama strangulated to death
Home Minister Imran Abdullah has said that the police will continue to investigate the murder case even if the accused has died.

Police revealed on Saturday that the interim post-mortem report affirms that Nishama Mohamed, who was found dead in H.Dh. Nolhivaram on 10 December, had been murdered.
While the husband, Faisal Abubakar, Rosyvilla/A.Dh. Fenfushi, is being accused for the murder of 28 year old Nishama, in a message sent to the media this Saturday evening, the police said the provisional report of the post-mortem conducted after sending Nishama's body to India showed that nishama was strangled to death with an object around her throat.
Police did not provide further details.
Nishama's body was sent to India for post-mortem on last Wednesday, 10 days after the death. Her body was brought to the capital on Saturday and the last rites were performed at Aasahara mosque after Maghrib prayers.
