Airport, Male areas closed for Cambodia PM's visit
In lieu of the trip, the airport will shut down the roads and lagoons in the area where the VIP terminal is located.

Cambodia's Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen is scheduled to arrive in the Maldives on Sunday at the invitation of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, and the capital will have parts of the airport and the city closed to the public.
Prime Minister Hun Sen will be in the Maldives for three days. According to the government, the Cambodian Prime Minister's visit is:

To hold official talks between the two countries

The two sides will discuss ways to further enhance cooperation in various fields

MoUs to be signed to enhance cooperation in various sectors
Several parts of the city will remain closed to the public on Monday in view of the Prime Minister's visit. Some of the areas that will be closed in Male include:

The Green Zone area of the President's Office and the army headquarters

Market area

A portion of Boduthakurufaanu Magu

The area where Hotel Jen is located

A large part of the lagoon from jetty number one
The police said:

The lagoon area will be closed from 6pm Sunday

Parking will be prohibited in non-parking areas from 6pm Sunday, but vehicles will be allowed to drive in the areas

Public cannot enter green zone area whether in a vehicle or on foot during the ceremony
In lieu of the trip, the airport will shut down the roads and lagoons in the area where the VIP terminal is located. It will be for Monday and Tuesday, until the Prime Minister will leave the country. As announced by MACL:

9-11am Sunday, roads and lagoon areas will remain closed

Lagoon will be closed between 8.30am and 9.30am on Tuesday
The Maldives and Cambodia established diplomatic relations in September 1995. Cambodia, which is home to a number of factories that make products of some of the world's leading brands, have some such items imported in to the Maldives.
