Maldives, Cambodia exchange scholarships, training opportunities
Cambodia's prime minister said the opening up of opportunities in education and training will strengthen political and cultural ties between the two countries.
In a bid to improve relations between the Maldives and Cambodia, the two countries on Monday announced that Cambodia will open scholarship opportunities for 10 Maldivian students and Cambodians to train in resorts in the Maldives.
The leaders of the two countries made a joint statement during the visit of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to the Maldives at the special invitation of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. In the statement, the two leaders shared information on the training and higher education opportunities that one country plans to provide to the other.
Cambodia's prime minister said he had decided to allow 10 Maldivian students to pursue higher education in the country after consulting senior university officials. The Prime Minister further said:

Cambodia's prime minister said the opening up of opportunities in education and training will strengthen political and cultural ties between the two countries.
The Maldives and Cambodia on Monday signed six agreements to strengthen bilateral ties in various fields. Discussions are also underway to import Cambodia's rice, food and other products and export the country's fish products to Cambodia.
