Portal launched for disability allowance

National Social Protection Agency (ANSPA) has said that people with disabilities can apply for state financial assistance through a portal.
Earlier this month, a ceremony was held in R. Alifushi to mark the Day of Persons with Disabilities and a registry of persons with disabilities was unveiled. Registration was also opened at the ceremony.
In a notification, NSPA said that applicants seeking financial assistance for persons with disabilities will have to apply through the digital portal of the National Disability Register.
Through this portal:

Those who seek financial assistance under the disability category will be eligible to get the allowance from the month that they register

Those who are already getting the allowance will continue to get the allowance without interruption
For person's with disabilities:

MVR 2,000 per month as financial assistance from NSPA
