1,200 tourists from 2 cruise ships visit Addu

Around 1,200 tourists visited Addu on Wednesday as two cruise ships transited in the southernmost atoll before leaving the Maldives.

Addu mayor Ali Nizar told Atoll Times that around 1,200 tourists arrived from the two cruise ships. They were welcomed with different activities including cultural performance, he added.
According to Nizar, the tourist will spend a day in one of the three resorts operating in the atoll, including Equator Village in Gan, South Palm and Canareef Resort.
They were also given a tour of Addu.
